History

Vermeer Indonesia was established in 1996 by Director Gary Cowley, to sell and support the products of Iowa, USA-based Vermeer Corporation to the local Indonesian market.

The company moved to it's current locations in 2010, with a marketing office in Cilandak and workshops and parts warehouse located in Cikarang. Our local team numbers 17 staff, including administration, service, sales, and parts staff. This team services the whole of Indonesia with sales, parts and service backup, and are one of few equipment manufacturers with a comprehensive local presence.

PT Vermeer Indonesia is proud to have been able to support the advancement of Indonesian infrastructure and industry via the sale and support of solutions including:

  • Horizontal Directional Drills and HDD Drilling Mud Reclaimers for trenchless installation of pipelines and utilities, including river and road crossings;
  • Brush chippers for maintenance of public property;
  • Horizontal Grinders for environmentally-friendly coversion of the large amounts of wood waste generated during land clearing and development into a usable resource; and
  • Surface Miners for mining projects and civil applications where tradition 'drill and blast' methods are not suitable.

Gary has been a Vermeer distributer in Australia and Indonesia for over 25 years. A Jakarta resident, Gary has build the Vermeer Indonesia business to serve the needs of Indonesia's developing resources and infrastructure segments with the best equipment available.
